The Bryan Bausch Foundation is a non-profit initiative dedicated to raising charity for the Phoenix House of Recovery. BBF is founded in memory of Bryan, who we recently lost fighting his addiction to heroin. Our goal is to keep Bryan’s memory alive by organizing the necessary funds to provide adequate room and board to meet the ever-growing demand for treatment of substance abuse. I’m Never Gonna Let You Down…

This is the Time…

9 years, 9 months, 9 days, 9 minutes — it’s the first time in my life when “time” does and doesn’t carry much weight with me. Don’t get me wrong, I try to be on time for appointments and for work — if nothing else I am still (ridiculously) prompt for things. (I think it […]

What’s Left Behind …

Hands, put your empty hands in mine And scars—show me all the scars you hide And hey, if your wings are broken Please take mine so yours can open, too ‘Cause I’m gonna stand by you. Today is the 8 month mark of losing Bryan and the reality stays with me more than the shock […]

Life is finite and fragile … never take that for granted

Hiding, until I didn’t …

Dear Friends, It’s almost 4 months since Bryan passed and I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and soul-searching. One of the issues that continues to haunt me is the shame and judgement that is attached to addiction. It’s not from others, but from myself. As I lived this nightmare, trust me, I judged, I […]

What I know now …

Hi Friends, I’ve been thinking a lot over these past 3 months and as I’m learning a new way of being, of living after the loss of my son, I’ve also become aware of how difficult it is for my friends and some family to be around me. They don’t know what to say, how […]
